The Tailgater Portable HDTV System consists of the Tailgater Satellite
Antenna and an HD Solo Receiver (Model ViP211k - sold
separately). Together with DISH Network television service, you can take your
favorite shows with you on all of your outdoor adventures. Now 211 and
411 home receivers will work with the Tailgater if they have been used in the
home within the last 6 months to have received the required software upgrade.

Designed in conjunction with DISH Network, the Tailgater system is a fully
automatic, portable satellite antenna that provides quick and easy access to a
wide selection of premium HD channels. A customized menu screen automatically
appears on the TV when the Tailgater and receiver are connected, and the
receiver is automatically configured for mobile use. From the on-screen menu,
RVers can simply select their state, and then scan. Within minutes they are
locked on with access to all your favorite DISH Network HD channels. Being a
Solo receiver, only one channel can be viewed at a time. If a channel is
selected that is on a different satellite, the Tailgater will find that
satellite and lock onto that signal for the new channel and satellite.

RVer's can purchase a handy ladder-mount bracket (same
bracket for the Vucube) for normal use, but the Tailgater is easily removed for

Setup for the Tailgater Portable HDTV System is easy because of the single
coaxial cable connection between the antenna and the receiver. Additional power
or control cables are not needed, however 110v AC power is required for the TV
and Receiver. Given that most RVs already have a portable satellite antenna
input, connecting the Tailgater to the receiver inside an RV is very
straightforward.. After connecting the devices, follow the on-screen
instructions. The Tailgater will automatically find the satellite orbital
locations for your DISH Network programming. When you're done watching, simply
power down the Tailgater and receiver, disconnect the cables, and take your
system with you. It's portable and lightweight, so it's easy to carry from one
